What is Rotary?

Rotary was founded on February 23, 1905, by attorney Paul P. Harris in Chicago, Illinois, to foster fellowship among professionals. Originally, members rotated meetings among their offices, giving the organization its name.

It quickly evolved into a global service organization, focusing on projects like polio eradication, literacy, and clean water, adopting the motto "Service Above Self".
